Today is the first day individual presentation get started. Students who will be involved in the presentation are those matric number which ended with digit 0 & 1. There are around 20 students going to present their academic paper, MM seminar blog, and portfolio today.
Before the presentation got started, En. Syam explained about what makes a great presentation or public speaking skills.
Presenter first has to prepare well his speech outline properly which usually contained 3 main sections, that are introduction, main point statement, and conclusion. Transition using between each section can be important too.
Main point statement basically be distributed to several subpoints.Then, conclusion is to briefly conclude the presented title.
A lot of techniques that can influence a great presentation. First, attire of presenter must be as smart as possible. Smart here means suitable and formal. This is because appearance represents the impression that given to the audience.
Second,voice volumn of presenter also playing an important role during a presentation. A good presenter will control his voice volumn to not too loud yet not too soft level. In addition, a clear voice of speech and intonation will attract audience too. Then, appropriate use of body language makes a presentation more vivid.
Other than that, interaction with audience is a must in order to make sure the understanding level of the audience to the presentation. Thus, presenter has to make an effective communication with audience.
